“Trump Warns of Potential Larger-Scale Attack on Venezuela”

Published:

Donald Trump has issued a warning indicating the readiness of the United States to conduct a potential larger-scale attack on Venezuela if deemed necessary, subsequent to recent American military actions aimed at seizing control of President Nicolas Maduro. Speaking at a press briefing today, Trump did not exclude the possibility of deploying ground troops in Venezuela, signaling a move by the US to assume governance of the nation.

During the press conference held at Trump’s Mar-a-Largo establishment, he outlined the US strategy to oversee the administration of Venezuela following the recent operation, which resulted in explosions in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas. Emphasizing the intention to ensure a secure and orderly transition, Trump expressed a commitment to fostering peace, freedom, and justice for the Venezuelan populace, including those residing in the US and wishing to return home.

In a strong statement, the US president underscored the importance of preventing any potential leadership in Venezuela that may not prioritize the welfare of its citizens. Trump hinted at the willingness of the US to employ military force again to support its temporary governance objectives in Venezuela, mentioning the prospect of a potential “second wave” attack if required.

Addressing the press, Trump revealed that while military plans for a subsequent assault had been prepared following the initial operation, the successful removal of President Nicolas Maduro and his spouse rendered it unnecessary at that moment. Trump also highlighted plans for US oil companies to take charge of Venezuela’s significant oil reserves, aiming to revitalize the country’s oil industry and leverage its revenue to sustain the military presence required for enforcing US control.

Asserting that the Venezuelan people would benefit from newfound prosperity and security under US administration, Trump engaged with reporters, responding affirmatively to inquiries regarding the potential deployment of ground forces to enforce governance in Venezuela. Indicating ongoing personnel appointments to oversee the country, Trump assured transparency in revealing the individuals designated for these roles in due course.
