A 21-year-old Ukrainian woman, Maria Kovalchuk, who was viciously assaulted and left for dead following a party in Dubai 10 months ago, has made a remarkable recovery and is now able to walk again.
Maria was subjected to a horrific attack where her hair was forcibly cut with a knife, resulting in a broken spine and leg. Speculation arose that she may have fallen victim to a notorious “Porta Potty party”, an event where wealthy hosts entice young models and influencers with promises of money, luxury gifts, and stays at upscale hotels.
After enduring extensive rehabilitation as a war refugee in Trondheim, Norway, Maria has shared her journey of learning to walk again after being confined to a wheelchair for months. Despite facing threats after speaking out about her ordeal, she remains determined to rebuild her life.
Following ten major surgeries to address her injuries, Maria reflected on her initial feelings of despair and uncertainty about her future. Over time, with the support of loved ones and friends, she found strength in focusing on her inner self and the healing power of love.
Maria is now embracing a new chapter in her life, teaching makeup techniques and relearning how to live fully. While she has refuted earlier claims of being tortured by sheikhs at a Porta Potty party, the circumstances surrounding the assault remain shrouded in mystery, with no perpetrators held accountable for the brutal attack.
Her mother, Anna, revealed the extent of Maria’s injuries, including multiple operations on her legs, spine, and shoulder blade, emphasizing the brutal nature of the assault. The family disclosed that the medical expenses were covered by Dubai police, sparking speculation of a potential cover-up.
Anna also disclosed online threats directed at her for speaking out about the incident, highlighting the dangers of wealthy individuals exploiting vulnerable individuals for entertainment. The disturbing trend of Porta Potty events, involving coerced participation in degrading and violent acts for financial gain, underscores the need for greater awareness and protection of individuals in vulnerable situations.
