“Beauty Bay Considers Sale Amid Financial Evaluation”

Published:

A popular online beauty retailer is potentially up for sale as it has engaged advisors to assess its future. Beauty Bay, established in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie in Manchester, offers a wide range of over 200 brands, including Ariana Grande, Clinique, MAC, and its own product line.

According to a recent report by Sky News, Beauty Bay is looking into various options for additional funding, with the possibility of a complete sale of the company. Interpath, an advisory firm, is said to be collaborating with Beauty Bay on this matter.

The company, which currently has 65 employees, has been approached for comment by the Mirror. This news follows the recent administration of beauty brand Malin + Goetz, resulting in the closure of its seven stores in London and affecting over 70 jobs. Online orders for Malin + Goetz have been temporarily halted, with the website indicating a return soon. However, customers can still purchase their products through third-party retailers such as Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

Malin+Goetz has made a difficult decision to place its UK business into administration after thorough evaluation and exhausting all alternatives. The closure of UK stores and the head office is regrettable but deemed necessary given the circumstances, impacting both employees and customers. The Malin+Goetz website is expected to resume operations after a brief maintenance period. Established in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, the brand originally offered six products catering to all skin types and has since expanded into fragrance, bodycare, and other beauty segments.
