A tragic incident in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has resulted in the death of a woman who was hit by a car driven by her former boyfriend. Tainara Souza Santos, 31, sustained severe injuries after being struck by a Volkswagen Golf and dragged along the highway. Despite undergoing surgeries, including leg amputation and back operations, Tainara succumbed to her injuries on December 24 at Hospital das Clinicas.
The suspect, Douglas Alves da Silva, 26, who had a brief relationship with the victim, has been in custody since November 30, with authorities now treating the case as murder. The incident occurred after Tainara left a bar with friends and was confronted by Alves da Silva, who allegedly drove his car at her after an argument ensued.
Following the tragic event, Tainara’s mother, Lucia, took to Instagram to express her grief over the loss of her daughter and called for justice. She thanked everyone for their support and prayers, emphasizing the need for accountability in the face of such a devastating loss.
