Boxing icon Anthony Joshua has been released from the hospital after being under observation for minor injuries sustained in a car crash that claimed the lives of two of his close friends. The regional authorities in Lagos and Ogun states confirmed that Joshua, 36, is now recovering at his residence.
The accident occurred when the vehicle Joshua was traveling in collided with a stationary truck near Lagos, resulting in the tragic deaths of Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami. Joshua and his mother paid their respects at a funeral home before the friends’ repatriation to the UK.
A statement revealed that despite the emotional toll of losing his friends, Joshua was discharged from the hospital and is deemed fit to recuperate at home.
