A 45-year-old teacher from New Jersey, Allison Havemann-Niedrach, has confessed to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, reportedly exchanging around 25,000 text messages with him. Havemann-Niedrach pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault, potentially leading to a 12-year prison sentence.
According to a police investigation, the inappropriate relationship between Havemann-Niedrach and the teenager began in January 2024 and continued until her arrest in June of the same year. Colleagues observed her having lunch with the student daily, and one witness even saw her behaving flirtatiously by touching the boy’s back and neck.
The boy’s sister witnessed him in the teacher’s car before he disclosed the illicit relationship to his mother. Subsequently, police discovered a vast number of text messages, including photos and videos, shared between the teacher and student on the boy’s phone.
Prosecutors revealed that Havemann-Niedrach, described on LinkedIn as a dedicated educator, was fixated on the student. The victim reported to police that their encounters took place at the teacher’s residence and hotels.
The sentencing is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with the prosecution seeking a 12-year prison term and the revocation of Havemann-Niedrach’s teaching license. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced the teacher’s admission of guilt in the sexual assault case involving the teenage student, emphasizing the severity of the charges and the proposed sentencing terms.
