“Luke Littler Triumphs as Youngest Darts Legend”

Published:

Luke Littler, at just 19 years old, was praised as the greatest darts player ever by Luke Humphries following his victory at the World Masters. Littler defeated Humphries 6-5 in a thrilling match to secure his 11th major PDC title and a £100,000 prize. His impressive performance included a 104.72 average and 13 maximums in Milton Keynes.

With this win, Littler now stands as the joint third most successful player in darts history, alongside James Wade, trailing only Michael van Gerwen (48 titles) and Phil Taylor (79 titles). He only needs to win the European Championship to complete his collection of PDC ranked titles.

Despite Humphries outscoring Littler with a 105.51 average and leading 5-4, Littler rallied back to win the final two sets. Reflecting on his victory, Littler acknowledged the pressure and resilience of his opponent. Humphries, on the other hand, admitted his disappointment at not winning but was pleased with his overall performance in the tournament.

Littler and Humphries continue to dominate the darts scene, with Littler having previously triumphed over Humphries in TV finals at the World Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts. This latest win further solidifies Littler’s position as a rising star in the sport.
