Published:

Sky TV subscribers are in for a treat as the company has recently announced a major upgrade to its services. Customers with the Sky Ultimate plan are now receiving complimentary access to the Disney+ subscription service, valued at £5.99. This enhanced package also includes content from popular franchises like Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.

Moreover, Sky is set to introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its lineup, offering a diverse range of entertainment options. The integration of Disney+ across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience with features like Continue Watching, search functions, and voice control.

In addition to the Disney+ inclusion, Sky Cinema subscribers will have access to a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For those considering joining Sky, the new Sky Ultimate package is available to all UK households starting at £24 per month.

The £24 plan encompasses various services such as Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on 26 March), Hayu with full access from July, and over 130 Sky channels. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the simplification of streaming services by consolidating Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into one subscription, enhancing the viewing experience for customers.

Sky aims to provide millions of existing customers with the expanded lineup at no additional cost, with NOW Entertainment users set to receive HBO Max within the app at no extra charge. These changes reflect Sky’s commitment to streamlining the viewing experience and offering a more cohesive entertainment platform.
