Man attacked with liquid and stabbed outside Banbridge hotel; suspects at large

A man was attacked by a group of individuals who threw a liquid in his face and then proceeded to stab him multiple times outside a hotel in Banbridge around 8:30 pm on December 23. The attackers had their faces covered, and no arrests have been made yet, leaving the suspects at large.

Authorities from the Police Service of Northern Ireland are currently investigating the incident, where it is reported that one of the assailants splashed the victim with a liquid after getting out of a vehicle. The victim tried to escape but fell and was then repeatedly slashed on his back before the attackers fled in their vehicle.

In response to the incident, a statement from the PSNI mentioned that the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries following the attack. The individuals involved in the assault wore masks and were believed to be traveling in a black Toyota Avensis.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm on the evening of December 23 to come forward with information by contacting them on the provided number. They are also seeking any available CCTV, dash-cam, or other footage that could assist in the investigation.
