“January 2026 Premium Bond Draw Awards Two £1 Million Jackpots”

Published:

In a recent announcement, the results for January 2026 Premium Bond draw were made public today, revealing that two individuals have secured a substantial £1 million prize each to kick off the New Year.

The first £1 million winner, residing in Suffolk, holds the maximum investment of £50,000 in Premium Bonds. The winning bond number, 570QM451332, was acquired in February 2024. Similarly, the second £1 million winner hails from Berkshire and also possesses £50,000 in Premium Bonds. Their winning bond number, 377PG290829, was purchased back in December 2019.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), differ from traditional interest-bearing accounts by entering holders into a monthly prize draw, offering the chance to win varying amounts, with prizes ranging from £25 to £1 million.

The odds of winning a prize every month stand at 22,000 to 1 for each £1 bond held. Winners are typically notified via email or text message by NS&I and have the option to receive their winnings directly into their bank account or reinvest them back into Premium Bonds. Furthermore, tools like the NS&I online prize checker and the Premium Bonds prize checker app are available for individuals to verify if they have won.

Currently, the prize fund rate for Premium Bonds stands at 3.60%, remaining unchanged since the August 2025 draw. Despite a slight decline in the prize fund rate in recent months leading to a decrease in larger prizes distributed, two £1 million prizes are still awarded monthly.

In a report released last month, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight emerged as the luckiest regions for Premium Bond winners in 2025. Additionally, other areas such as Essex and Outer London also saw numerous individuals clinching £100,000 prizes. Notably, the £1 million jackpot was claimed twice in Norwich and Cumbria last year.

With over 24 million individuals currently holding Premium Bonds, the allure of potentially winning substantial prizes continues to attract participants nationwide.
