A mother of three endured a horrifying gang rape that lasted several hours in a moving van before being thrown onto the road, as reported by Indian police.
The incident occurred overnight between Monday and Tuesday when the married mother was waiting for transportation home in Faridabad, near Delhi.
Two young men stopped their van and convinced the woman to get inside by offering to drop her home. Once inside, she was allegedly sexually assaulted multiple times as the van headed towards Gurgaon Road.
During the approximately two-and-a-half-hour ordeal, the attackers kept her captive in the van, subjected her to further assaults, and made threats when she resisted.
The victim was eventually ejected from the moving vehicle, sustaining severe facial injuries, and left bleeding on the roadside near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar.
Desperate for help, she managed to contact her sister, who, upon learning of the assault, rushed to the scene with other family members and took her to the hospital. The woman was admitted in critical condition and received stitches on her face. Although her condition is now stable, she remains in shock and has not yet provided a formal statement.
Prior to the attack, the victim had informed her sister of an argument with her mother and her plan to stay at a friend’s house around 8:30 pm the evening before.
The woman, who is married but living separately from her husband due to a domestic dispute, has three children.
Authorities have confirmed the arrest of both suspects and the recovery of the van used in the assault. An investigation is currently underway.
