“Traveler Slams Ryanair’s ‘Worst Plane Food Ever'”

Published:

A traveler on a Ryanair flight has criticized the quality of the onboard meal, labeling it as the “worst plane food ever.” The passenger, Mike Crosby, aged 60, expressed dissatisfaction with an £11 panini lunch he purchased during a flight from Dublin to Luton Airport on December 10. According to Mike, the sandwich, which was supposed to contain cheese and ham, was deemed “inedible” by both himself and some cabin crew members. He mentioned that the meal, which also included a coffee and a Snickers bar, did not resemble the advertised photo and cost £10.98 (Euro 12.50).

Mike, a father of two from St Albans, Hertfordshire, who had been on a business trip to Dublin, voiced his disappointment, stating that the sandwich did not meet his expectations. He described the ham as unrecognizable and the cheese as more of a paste rather than actual cheese. Despite requesting a refund and staff allegedly refusing due to being “in the air,” Ryanair has reportedly rejected his subsequent appeal.

Sharing a photo of the subpar panini online, Mike aimed to caution others about his experience. He mentioned his intention to inspect the sandwich contents before purchase in the future to ensure satisfaction. Despite reaching out to Ryanair twice for a refund through their live chat system, Mike has accepted the outcome and plans to be more cautious with his inflight meal choices going forward.

In response to the incident, online users sympathized with Mike’s disappointment, with some recommending bringing personal snacks on future flights instead of relying on airline food. Criticism of Ryanair’s food quality and customer service practices circulated online, with some users advising against flying with the airline altogether. Ryanair has been approached for comment regarding the situation.
