Four fortunate Premium Bonds investors have been awarded £100,000 each for their winning bonds purchased in December, making them eligible for the February 2026 draw onwards. One of the winners acquired a £50 bond in December 2025. The first winner resides in Essex with a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds, while the second winner lives in Brighton and Hove, holding a total of £38,025 in Premium Bonds. The remaining two £100,000 winners, each holding £50,000 in Premium Bonds, are based in Cheshire and Hampshire with the Isle of Wight.
In the February 2026 draw, two individuals were awarded £1 million Premium Bond prizes. One winner is from Liverpool and the other from Central Bedfordshire. Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offer monthly prize draws instead of fixed interest rates. The prize amounts vary from £25 to £1 million, with more smaller prizes distributed compared to larger sums. Participants can hold a maximum of £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with each £1 invested assigned a unique bond number.
The odds of winning a prize each month with Premium Bonds are 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond. Winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I and can opt to receive their prize in their bank account or reinvest it in Premium Bonds. The current prize fund rate, akin to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60% since the August 2025 draw.
Recent data revealed the luckiest locations for winning Premium Bond prizes. In 2025, 42 winners from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight secured the second-largest prize of £100,000, followed by Essex with 37 winners and Outer London with 32 winners. Additionally, two individuals from Norwich and Cumbria each won the £1 million jackpot in 2025.
