Police are investigating a reported sexual assault on a man in his thirties that occurred on Christmas Eve. The incident took place in the vicinity of Brook Street, near Pells Pool in Lewes, between 10 pm on Christmas Eve and 3 am on Christmas Day.
The victim, who was assaulted near Pells Pool, an outdoor swimming facility, is receiving support from specialized officers and care professionals. Detective Inspector Gavin Patch assured the public that a dedicated team is diligently pursuing all leads in the investigation.
Authorities will have a noticeable presence in the Pells Pool and Brook Street areas, as well as in other parts of Lewes, including Eastgate Street and Lansdown Place. The police are urging the public, whether local residents or visitors to the area, to come forward with any relevant information or footage that could aid in the investigation.
