Rachel Reeves has pledged to put an end to the long-standing rail issues in the North of England by injecting £45 billion into a comprehensive transformation initiative.
The Northern Powerhouse Rail project, which has faced multiple delays under the previous government, will encompass new rail connections to and from Manchester and significant enhancements to the infrastructure in West Yorkshire.
