Two teenagers were rushed to the hospital after falling from a cliff at a national park. Emergency services responded to the incident at Berowra Valley National Park in Cherrybrook around 5:15 pm on Friday, January 30. A 17-year-old boy sustained multiple injuries in the fall, while a 16-year-old girl was also treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for falling over the cliff.
South Wales Police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. According to a NSW police spokesperson, the operation is ongoing following the injuries sustained by the two teens who fell 10 meters over a cliff in Sydney’s north-west. The boy, in critical condition with multiple injuries, is being stabilized by a medical team brought to the scene by a TOLL helicopter. He is expected to be transported by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital once carried to the top of the cliff.
The 16-year-old girl, who also fell over the cliff, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and then carried to the top of the cliff on foot before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. Her condition is reported as stable. Additionally, a 47-year-old woman received treatment for shock at the scene.
The Hills Police Area Command officers are assisting paramedics, along with members of the Rural Fire Service, as the operation continues.
